The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association celebrated its 100th anniversary during its recent annual fall meeting. The event honored BHMA’s rich legacy, while looking ahead to the next 100 years of innovation and leadership.

For a century, BHMA has advanced and established standards, codes and certification programs that have shaped the builders’ hardware industry and supported the safety, security and performance of commercial and residential buildings across the United States.

Highlights of the 100th anniversary included:

  • Virtual museum, which was accessible to members and industry stakeholders, chronicling BHMA’s history and contributions
  • Centennial commemorative book, which featured archival photos, member reflections, achievements and a historical timeline of BHMA’s journey
  • Keynote sessions and industry panels covered today’s most pressing topics in standards development, building codes and hardware innovation
  • 100th Anniversary Gala, which honored BHMA’s past, celebrated its present and embraced its future.
