Quilt Rolls Out Energy-Efficient Updates to HVAC Technology

Quilt, an efficient two-zone heat pump, is launching two new features — Auto-Away and Energy Usage — making home climate control even smarter, more efficient and more personalized.

Auto-Away uses proprietary radar-based occupancy detection to identify when rooms are empty and automatically shift them to an energy-saving mode, reducing unnecessary energy use and lowering energy bills. The feature has been deployed all installed Quilt systems via over-the-air update.

Energy Usage, launched in tandem, gives homeowners unprecedented visibility into their energy consumption, tracking usage in real time, by room, by hour, and by day. Homeowners can see how their home climate system uses energy throughout the day and understand how features like Auto-Away are driving measurable efficiency improvements. With granular insights into usage patterns, Quilt empowers homeowners to fine-tune their climate preferences and discover smarter, more sustainable ways to heat and cool their spaces that translate into real energy savings.
