New Continuum-of-Care Campus in Minnesota Designed for Aging in Place
Lyngblomsten, a Minnesota nonprofit senior services organization, recently celebrated the opening of Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes, a new continuum-of-care campus. The opening marks a historic moment, as it is the nonprofit’s first continuum-of-care campus to be constructed since 1912 (the other being its campus in the Como Park neighborhood of St. Paul).
Located on 16 acres, Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes is home to 20 detached rental townhomes and a multi-level senior living building that includes 96 independent living apartments, 35 assisted living apartments, and 17 memory care suites. A second phase will add a skilled nursing wing.
Accessible townhome features include zero-transition showers and grab bars in the restrooms. Front entries to the townhomes are zero step, making it easier for residents using wheelchairs or walkers.
The project’s design was led by Wold Architects and Engineers. Grand Real Estate Advisors served as development advisor, with Weis Builders as construction manager for the project and Dane Allen Homes overseeing the construction of the townhomes.
As part of Lyngblomsten’s vision of supporting older adults in living an active, vibrant life, residents have access to resort-style amenities on campus, including a warm water pool and fitness center, three restaurants, a game room with golf simulator, art studio, chapel/multipurpose room, theatre and more. Beyond the campus, residents can venture into the surrounding area to discover local favorites and explore nature trails, lakes, parks and golf courses.
More than 1,200 people attended a grand opening celebration for the public on Saturday, Oct. 7. Lyngblomsten’s campus in Lino Lakes is located at Hodgson Road and County Road J. For more information, visit lyngblomsten.org/LinoLakes.
